Rebecca's career started as a Program Director in a skilled nursing facility overseeing a Alzheimer's program, but it was in her teens when she first experienced the effects and knew full well the devastation of the disease when her Grandmother was diagnosed. There was no doubt, she felt called to work with the elderly. It was there she fell in love with sales and marketing and went on to work in a variety of senior living settings where she opened several new communities. Two were with Kisco Senior Living, where she successfully led sales teams in the pre-opening, opening and fill up phases in North Carolina (ranging from 168-208 apartments with Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care options).
In 2007, Rebecca transitioned to a rewarding Regional Sales career with Brookdale Senior Living and during her tenure there, she earned recognition for consistently high occupancy in a market of 8 communities, developing marketing initiatives that made a difference alongside a high performing team with great tenure. At the end of her tenure at Brookdale, Rebecca was supporting 23 communities as a Sr. Regional Sales Director in the Raleigh/Charlotte markets.
Several examples of the successful programs include an annual advocacy award ceremony and luncheon called 'Potter's Hands' and 'Giving Thanks by Giving Back' - Thanksgiving meal program where her team partnered with other local professionals and delivered over 700 meals to seniors who would be alone or unable to cook on Thanksgiving and events like 'Seniors Know They Can Dance', that took place in the local communities around the Triangle (in Raleigh-Durham, NC) where seniors took dancing lessons and ultimately a competition ensued with much fanfare and support from the community partners.
Most recently, Rebecca worked with Arbor Senior Living as a Regional Vice President, supporting communities in six states that included several startup openings. During Rebecca's senior living career, spanning 24 years, she's had the privilege of working with communities in a variety of stages. These included acquisitions, new development/start-ups and stabilized communities.
Rebecca has been hiring and recruiting talent for years throughout her senior living career and now enjoys using her recruiting experience to help other companies find and hire dynamic team players who can make a difference.
It's clear that when the right people come together, amazing things can happen!
